Van Dijk was involved in both early goals against Liverpool and felt he was unfairly blocked in the buildup to the late winner. Replays showed Curtis Jones inadvertently tripped Van Dijk during a tussle, but referee and VAR did not overturn the decision. Bournemouth moved 10 points clear of the relegation zone and ended Liverpool's 13-game unbeaten run.
