Brighton salvaged a 1-1 draw at home to Bournemouth after Marcus Tavernier converted a first-half penalty to give the visitors the lead. Bournemouth defended resolutely through the second half, but substitute Charalampos Kostoulas controlled a Jan Paul van Hecke header on his chest and unleashed an acrobatic overhead kick into the left side of the net in stoppage time to level the match. The 18-year-old's strike was Brighton's ninth Premier League goal by a substitute this season and his second top-flight goal since joining from Olympiacos for €35m last June. Brighton dropped two points.
