Hugo Ekitike says he is ready to compete for a place in Arne Slot's Liverpool squad following the arrival of Alexander Isak. Liverpool completed a British record £125m signing for Isak on transfer deadline day. Ekitike has scored two Premier League goals and provided one assist in three matches, and also scored in the Community Shield defeat. Ekitike made his senior France debut last week. Isak has not yet played this season but is expected to feature for Sweden in a World Cup qualifier and could debut for Liverpool against Burnley on September 14.
