Chairman Yasir Al-Rumayyan attended the Liverpool game to publicly support manager Eddie Howe. Howe said he did not know if the chairman's appearance was connected to the Isak situation and said he was not party to any conversations. Isak prefers a move to Liverpool and the closing transfer window leaves Newcastle to persuade him to stay or sell and replace before September 1.
