The 26-year-old has a rough history in terms of injuries, so Blues fans were likely fearing the worst after he was absent from Liam Rosenior's squad for the Arsenal and Wolverhampton Wanderers."
"In his senior Chelsea career, the most Premier League appearances James has ever made in a single season is 32, in the 2020/21 season, meaning he's on course for one of his best-ever campaigns with 23 outings already this term. Reece James missed Chelsea's last two games due to a small knock and has a noted history of injuries. The 26-year-old has made 23 Premier League appearances this season, approaching his career high of 32 in 2020/21. James recovered from the knock but subsequently developed an unrelated illness that may prevent him from featuring against Leeds. Manager Liam Rosenior said James is fit but felt unwell and expressed hope he would be available. Rosenior also noted several staff members have been unwell while only James among the players is currently affected.
