The 26-year-old signed a two-year deal with Aston Villa in July after her contract with the Catalan giants was terminated and she arrived in Birmingham knowing exactly she wants from the next phase of her career."

Ellie Roebuck returned to the Women's Super League by signing a two-year contract with Aston Villa in July after her Barcelona contract was terminated. She spent a season in Barcelona while recovering from a November stroke that threatened her vision and career. Roebuck described the WSL as highly competitive with elevated crowds after England's Euro success and said being closer to home and joining an ambitious Villa project matched her goals. She praised the squad balance of experienced and young players and called the move a perfect fit for her upward trajectory. Roebuck also earned an England recall following her recovery.
