Ellie Roebuck returned to the Women's Super League by signing a two-year contract with Aston Villa in July after her Barcelona contract was terminated. Roebuck described the WSL as highly competitive with elevated crowds after England's Euro success and said being closer to home and joining an ambitious Villa project matched her goals.
