Oscar Zambrano, Hull City's Ecuadorian midfielder, has been suspended by Conmebol after testing positive for doping, impacting his eligibility and future with the team.
Zambrano, who scored once in eight games for Hull since his arrival from Ecuador, will appeal the suspension to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
The club confirmed the suspension followed a positive test for doping conducted after a Recopa Sudamericana match, as detailed in Conmebol Anti-Doping Regulations.
Hull City, currently positioned 15th in the Championship, stated that they cannot provide additional information regarding Zambrano’s status beyond the suspension.
