Buried in an unmarked pauper's grave in Loughborough Cemetery, more than 300 miles away from his family, Logan's body lay anonymously for 120 years until Notts County fans campaigned to rectify this.
'It was as if his entire career peaked on that day,' says author Dave Fells. 'He scored goals wherever he went, but he was in and out, and he'd fall out with people.'
The Birmingham Gazette called it 'Logan's final'. Less than 2 years after his FA Cup treble, he was dead at 25, illustrating the fleeting nature of fame and success.
