'Greedy' Wrexham dream of adding to 'incredible journey'
"Every season in football is special and you've got to savour it,"
"The FA Cup is part of that and it was important that we backed up the Nottingham Forest win with another win tonight."
"I think it's great for our owners, Rob and Ryan, it was their fifth year anniversary and to get them into the fifth round is great for them as well,"
"The club's on an incredible journey and we just want to keep adding to that,"
Wrexham defeated Ipswich Town to reach the FA Cup fifth round for the first time in 29 years, with Josh Windass scoring the decisive goal. The victory followed a third-round win over Nottingham Forest and coincided with owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac celebrating five years in charge after taking over when Wrexham were seventh in the National League in February 2021. Manager Phil Parkinson urged the team to savour the achievement but said the FA Cup would be put on the back burner so the squad could concentrate on the league. Ollie Rathbone called the club's progress an incredible journey and said the team aims to keep building.
