Fulham and Wolves wronged by VAR - panel
"The panel unanimously supported the original on-field call to allow play to continue and award the goal."
"The contact made is careless and the panel felt a penalty should have been awarded and that VAR should have intervened on the basis it was a clear and obvious error in not penalising the foul,"
"VAR is not here to re-referee the game."
Video Assistant Referee made two incorrect interventions in Premier League fixtures on 30 August. Josh King’s 22nd-minute goal for Fulham was disallowed after a lengthy VAR review that judged Rodrigo Muniz to have stepped on Trevoh Chalobah’s foot. The Key Match Incidents panel supported the on-field call to allow the goal. Wolves were not awarded a penalty when Iliman Ndiaye fouled Hugo Bueno in a 3-2 loss to Everton; the panel judged the contact careless and said VAR should have intervened. Chelsea beat Fulham 2-0; Fulham remain without a win after three games. Michael Salisbury was stood down as VAR.
