Ollie Horgan, a Galway native, served as Galway United assistant manager and previously managed Finn Harps from 2013 to 2022. He helped Galway United win the 2023 First Division title and secure promotion as John Caulfield's number two. Horgan managed Finn Harps for 354 games, achieving two promotions and six seasons in the top flight, including an FAI Cup semi-final. He taught mathematics at St Eunan's College in Letterkenny from 1989 while coaching across the country. Funeral arrangements include repose at the family home in Cahermorris on Saturday, O' Flaherty Funeral Parlour on Sunday, and a Requiem Mass at Church of Christ the King, Salthill on Monday before burial at Rahoon Cemetery. He is survived by his wife Anita, children Emma, Anthony, Brendan, Conor and David, sister Mary, brother Ger and extended family.

He will also be missed by Kit, Brian and Caroline and his nephews, nieces and extended family. Ollie loved his football, his family and his friends.
Mr Horgan arrived at the club as John Caulfield's number two before the 2023 League of Ireland season, helping to guide the Tribesmen to a First Division title win and promotion to the Premier Division. Prior to his spell at Eamonn Deacy Park, Horgan managed Finn Harps for 354 games from 2013 until 2022, leading the club to two successful promotion campaigns from the First Division.
On Saturday, Mr Horgan's remains will repose at the family home in Cahermorris, Corrandulla, Galway. On Sunday his remains will repose at the O' Flaherty Funeral Parlour Munster Avenue, Galway from 3pm to 6pm. His funeral will take place on Monday, when, Requiem Mass will be celebrated at the Church of Christ the King, Salthill, at 12 noon, before burial at Rahoon Cemetery.
