Diana Flores began playing flag football at age eight after her father signed her up for a co-ed team in Mexico City. By sixteen she joined Team Mexico and became one of the youngest players in team history. As captain and quarterback, she led Team Mexico to a 6-0 gold-medal victory over the U.S. at the 2022 World Games. Flores works as an ambassador with the NFL and the International Football Association Board, chairs the athletes' committee, and focuses on inclusivity and opportunities for the next generation of girls. She published Flag Football For Dummies to teach the basics and grow participation ahead of the sport's Olympic debut in 2028.
