FIFA commits to another change to accommodate new Club World Cup by... adding another transfer window
Briefly

FIFA has confirmed that participating clubs in the new Club World Cup can open a special transfer window from June 1-10, 2025, enabling them to register new signings just before the tournament begins on June 15.
Additionally, clubs will have the ability to replace players with contracts expiring on June 30, during a designated window from June 27 to July 3, allowing for roster adjustments as needed.
For this one-time event, FIFA has waived the requirement for clubs to release players for international duty, forcing players like Alphonso Davies to choose between national pride and club obligations.
