It seems Maresca made it very clear to Guiu that he wasn't happy with any aspect of his performances in training sessions, but since then the Spaniard has taken that on board and improved."

Enzo Maresca confronted Marc Guiu during a training session two weeks ago and told him his training standards were insufficient. Guiu now has a chance of playing regularly for Chelsea following his improved training performances. Guiu moved to Chelsea from Barcelona's academy just over a year ago. Maresca is seen as effective at developing young talent following recent ownership changes.
