"I had to hand in projects, give presentations and sit in class again. It was fun, but completely outside my comfort zone."

Tim Krul has retired from playing and is preparing for a career as a sporting director. He has been taking courses with Portsmouth University, completing projects, delivering presentations and returning to the classroom experience. Krul described the coursework as enjoyable but outside his comfort zone. He spent eleven years at Newcastle United and remains positively connected to the club, saying those ties could make a return appealing. Krul acknowledges that stepping into a senior role at a major club will be challenging and says his future direction will depend on opportunities in the coming years.
