Dortmund disappointed and annoyed by Bodo/Glimt draw, says Kovac - Soccer News
""We are disappointed and annoyed," he said. "We failed twice to extend our lead and decide the game. "We weren't very clever when it came to the goals we conceded, which is why [this game] is very unfortunate from our point of view.""
""Right now, I'm mainly disappointed," he added. "We dropped two very important points. I'm annoyed that we didn't make the most of our chances. We had to win this game.""
""We need to make better use of our chances, defend more intelligently, and come away from this game with the three points.""
Dortmund drew 2-2 with Bodo/Glimt at Signal Iduna Park after twice losing a lead. Julian Brandt scored in both halves for Dortmund, with Haitam Aleesami and Jens Petter Hauge cancelling his strikes. The result left Dortmund tenth in the Champions League group stage table, one point behind Atletico Madrid in eighth. Niko Kovac said the team were "disappointed and annoyed" after failing twice to extend their lead and conceding avoidable goals. Brandt said he was mainly disappointed and annoyed at squandering chances. Felix Nmecha called for better chance conversion and smarter defending to secure three points.
