He was 63 and had been appointed in March 2001, making him the Premier League's longest-serving chairman. Tottenham won the Europa League last season, ending a 17-year trophy drought. The club has played in European competitions in 18 of the last 20 seasons and has become a widely recognised global football club. Levy said he was proud of building the club into a global heavyweight and a community, praising staff, players and managers. Ownership and shareholder structure will remain unchanged. Spurs finished 17th with a record 22 defeats and Levy dismissed Ange Postecoglou shortly after the Europa League final.
