Darlington Nagbe, 35, will retire at the end of the season after a long MLS career. He ranks fifth in MLS history with 444 regular-season matches and has recorded 38 goals and 48 assists since being drafted No. 2 overall by the Portland Timbers in 2011. He won MLS Cups with Portland (2015), Atlanta United (2018) and Columbus Crew (2020, 2023). His honors include the 2019 U.S. Open Cup, two Campeones Cups (2019, 2021), the 2024 Leagues Cup, and the 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup with the U.S. He thanked family, teammates, clubs and supporters and intends to finish the season strong.
