Cole Palmer breaks all-time Chelsea hat trick record, overtakes legends
"It's so unrealistic It's come from nowhere. There's nothing in it. There's no reason to have the conversation. That's where I'm at,"
"Cole is very happy. I've had numerous conversations with him. Our thoughts are on how we can make this team better, how he can improve and how I can help him. "He loves being here and he wants to be a Chelsea player. You can't sto"
Cole Palmer scored a first-half treble against Wolves, converting two penalties and finishing inside the box in the 38th minute to secure the hat-trick. The treble was Palmer's fourth Premier League hat-trick for Chelsea in three years, moving him past Jimmy Floyd‑Hasselbaink, Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard, who each recorded three. The 38-minute hat-trick ranks as Chelsea's third-fastest in Premier League history; Palmer also holds the club records for the fastest (29 minutes vs Everton) and second-fastest (31 minutes vs Brighton). He became the first player in Premier League history to register three first-half hat-tricks. Palmer moved ahead of John Terry into second for most Premier League goals by an English player for Chelsea (44), and has registered 41 goals in 83 appearances since joining from Manchester City in 2023. Manager Liam Rosenior denied recent reports of Palmer wanting to return to Manchester and said Palmer is happy and focused on improving and helping the team.
