CHAN 2024 in East Africa postponed six months to August
Briefly

The 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) has been postponed until August, just 18 days before the tournament was set to begin, due to infrastructure concerns.
Caf stated that the decision was based on expert advice indicating that more time is required to reach the necessary standards for hosting the finals.
The group draw for CHAN will still occur as scheduled in Nairobi, even though the final lineup of teams is yet to be confirmed.
Caf president Patrice Motsepe expressed confidence that the facilities will meet required standards by August 2025, ensuring a successful tournament.
