Cesc Fabregas tells Alvaro Morata: 'I don't like excuses' after Como red card
"Provocation is part of football,"
"Those who don't take it have to do something else. He's an experienced player, and I expect more from him, because the line between winning and losing is very thin. I don't like excuses. You have to play your own game; what others say shouldn't matter to you."
Álvaro Morata was sent off after receiving two yellow cards in quick succession during Como's 2-1 home defeat to Fiorentina. Morata entered the match in the 57th minute, was booked in the 88th minute after a tussle with Rolando Mandragora, and a minute later put his head toward Luca Ranieri in an off-the-ball incident that led to a red card. Cesc Fàbregas publicly criticized Morata's actions and expectations of greater discipline. Morata, on loan from AC Milan and recently returned from a thigh injury, remains without a league goal in 15 games and will be suspended for the next match.
