Celtic has reported a pre-tax profit of £17.8m for the year ending June, a drop from the previous year's £40.7m, primarily attributed to increased operating expenses while still showing a revenue increase.
Revenue rose by almost £5m to £124.6m, and year-end cash increased similarly to £77.2m, indicating strong financial management despite the profit decline.
The strong performance of Celtic's men's team, which won both the Premiership and Scottish Cup, contributed positively to the club's profile, even as expenses rose.
Celtic’s profit decline stemmed from a £10m rise in operating expenses and a net gain from player sales that was significantly lower than the previous year.
