Brentford prepared for whatever Leeds throw at them, says Andrews - Soccer News
"They're a resilient team that have shown a lot of character in recent weeks, in particular, with the results and performances they've had,"
"They've alternated between the two systems that they've operated with [5-3-2 and 4-3-3]. We'll prepare for both of those systems and whatever they throw at us."
"But we're in a good place at home, so as per usual, we'll focus mainly on ourselves."
Brentford sit 14th in the Premier League after 15 games, with Leeds four points behind in 16th. Leeds have started their last two league matches in a 3-5-2 formation and avoided defeat in both (one win, one draw). Brentford have faced teams starting in that formation seven times this season, failing to win the first five (one draw, four losses) before recording wins in April and August 2024 against Sheffield United and Southampton. Brentford head coach Keith Andrews said the team will prepare for both Leeds systems and focus primarily on their own performance at home. Leeds have shown improved results after a tactical change, including a draw with Liverpool, a win over Chelsea, and a strong showing against Manchester City, bouncing back from four straight league defeats prior to the adjustment.
