Tottenham completed the signing of 22-year-old Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig for an initial fee of £51.8million. The Dutch international signed a five-year contract until 2030, with the club holding an option to extend for two more years. Simons had been linked with Chelsea but joined Tottenham after Chelsea prioritised Alejandro Garnacho. He joins international team-mate Micky van de Ven and is expected to provide quality in the No.10 role following James Maddison's pre-season ACL injury.
