"The negativity that goes around affects players on the pitch, There seems to be a cloud hanging over the club and I think it's putting a bit of fear into the players. There's clearly some sort of confidence problem, or whether it's just the noise outside, it's impacting them as a group because they are not anywhere near their best."
"We had 90-odd minutes afterwards to be better,"
Celtic lost 2-0 to Dundee at Dens Park, their first defeat there since 1988, after Clark Robertson's towering header and a Cameron Carter-Vickers own-goal put Dundee 2-0 up before half-time. Dundee defended strongly to repel Celtic's chances throughout the match. Celtic have now failed to score in six matches and sit five points behind Scottish Premiership leaders Hearts, who won 3-0 at Rugby Park. Sections of Celtic's travelling support threw bouncy balls and tennis balls onto the pitch and displayed banners targeting senior executives. Since the Champions League exit to Bayern Munich in February, Celtic have failed to win 13 of 29 games, recording a 55% win rate in that period. Brendan Rodgers declined to use the protest as an excuse after the defeat.
