Sonia Bompastor has extended her Chelsea contract until 2030. The 45-year-old arrived from Lyon in May 2024 after Emma Hayes' departure and led Chelsea to an unbeaten domestic treble, winning the Women's Super League, FA Cup and League Cup. Chelsea sit third in the WSL, 12 points behind leaders Manchester City after back-to-back defeats by Arsenal and City. Chelsea visit Tottenham on Sunday, with Tottenham fifth and one point behind. Chelsea remain in the Champions League quarter-finals, are in the FA Cup fifth round and will face Manchester United in the League Cup final next month. Bompastor praised the club's support and pledged continued focus on success, citing grit, resilience, intensity and competition on four fronts.
