""We have a partnership with the Gambino Stars," sporting director Christoph Freund said in comments captured by Tz (via @iMiaSanMia). "He has visited us several times and has even trained with the U-23s and the first team. Now he will be with us for the next six months to adapt to the European level and further develop his qualities.""
""He'll initially train with the first team, and we'll see where he can get some playing time - maybe in friendlies with both the U-23 and U-19 teams," Freund continued. "Due to strict FIFA regulations, he's not allowed to play competitive matches for the U23 or U19 teams in that age group. The most important thing right now is acclimatization. Bara is a very talented player we want to get to know better.""
Bayern Munich signed 18-year-old midfielder Bara Sapoko Ndiaye through its Red & Gold affiliations partnership with Gambino Stars. He has trained with Bayern's U-23s and first team during previous visits and will remain for six months to adapt to European football and further develop. Initial involvement will be training with the first team and potential friendly appearances for U-23 and U-19 squads, but FIFA regulations prevent competitive matches at those youth levels. Acclimatization is the priority and a loan after the half-season is likely; another partner prospect, Virgilio Olaya, is being eyed for an immediate loan abroad.
