Lennart Karl was born in Frammersbach, Bavaria and has spent his entire career in Germany, rising to prominence within Bayern Munich's academy and first-team setup. He is a Germany U-21 international and is regarded as one of the country's top young talents. During a Bayern fan-club meeting Karl said that FC Bayern is a dream to play for but that he ultimately wants to join Real Madrid and called them his dream club. Karl previously supported Real Madrid and was linked with a move there before signing his professional Bayern contract in 2025. The comments were recorded on camera and may signal future departure ambitions.
