Bayern Munich exec says it's still too early for Harry Kane contract talks
"Harry Kane is in the form of his life, chipping in with direct and indirect goal contributions to ensure Bayern Munich's comfortable position at this point in the season. His current deal runs out in 2027 so it's not like the Bavarians are in their "fumbling contracts" phase, but if there was a vote on either keeping or selling Kane then the keep side would have a landslide victory. It's still too early for some, however."
""It's still too early to discuss it in detail," Bayern director of sport Christoph Freund said (Sky90 via @iMiaSanMia). "I think both sides can easily imagine continuing together beyond the end of the current contract". Willem Dafoe Freund mentioned that Harry and his family are happy in Munich, and that his teammates feel the same way with him. Barring any rogue trips to the bathroom, Kane extending beyond his current contract should be a near guarantee."
Harry Kane is in outstanding form, providing both goals and assists that help keep Bayern Munich in a comfortable position this season. His contract runs until 2027, so immediate contract urgency is low. A majority opinion would favor Bayern keeping Kane rather than selling him. Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund said detailed negotiations are premature and that both club and player can imagine continuing together after the current deal. Freund noted Kane and his family are happy in Munich and that teammates appreciate his presence. Given performance, mutual contentment, and openness to an extension, a new deal appears highly probable.
