Bayern Munich Alumni: Eintracht Frankfurt, Dino Toppmoller part ways
"I would have loved to continue working with this team and continue to face the challenges that lie ahead. But I accept the decision. I went to Eintracht every day with great passion and joy, and regardless of the current unsatisfactory situation, which undoubtedly exists, I am proud of what we have achieved together over the past two and a half years,"
"It's a shame that we won't be continuing together. Thank you to everyone who believed in me, who gave me this opportunity and who placed their trust in me for so long. Thank you to all the players, the entire coaching and management team, the board and all the club staff. It has been an honor. I wish Eintracht calmer and, above all, more successful times."
Eintracht Frankfurt and head coach Dino Toppmöller are ending their collaboration with immediate effect after a comprehensive analysis of recent weeks. The club thanked him for his commitment and wished him well. Toppmöller expressed regret at not continuing, accepted the decision, said he attended training with passion and pride in what was achieved over two and a half years, and thanked players, staff and management. Sporting director Markus Krösche praised Toppmöller's technical expertise, professionalism, meticulous work and interpersonal skills. Krösche said an intensive internal evaluation showed a need for a new sporting impetus because of a downward trend and unmet standards this season.
