"Arsenal's Katie Reid will miss the remainder of the 2025-26 season after sustaining an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury. The Gunners confirmed on Monday that Reid suffered the injury during a training session ahead of their 1-1 draw with Chelsea in the Women's Super League last weekend. Reid will now undergo surgery to repair the issue in what is a huge blow for the 19-year-old, who had made a strong start to the campaign."
"This ACL injury is the third to be sustained in quick succession by an Arsenal player at this early stage of the season. Michelle Agyemang, who is on loan at Brighton, suffered the same issue while on international duty with England during a 3-0 win over Australia last month. Goalkeeper Manuela Zinsberger also injured her ACL during a training session while preparing for a Champions League match against Benfica in October."
Katie Reid will miss the remainder of the 2025-26 season after rupturing her anterior cruciate ligament in a training session before Arsenal's 1-1 WSL draw with Chelsea. The 19-year-old defender will undergo surgery and had made a strong start to the campaign, making six WSL appearances. Reid was covering at central defence for injured captain Leah Williamson, who sustained a knee injury at Euro 2025. Arsenal sit fourth in the WSL, six points behind leaders Manchester City. This is the third ACL injury to hit the squad early in the season, following Michelle Agyemang and goalkeeper Manuela Zinsberger.
