Revelstoke, BC, Report: 5,620-Vertical-Foot Non-Stop Runs on 273" of Snowfall This Season - SnowBrains
"Yesterday was our last day at the backcountry BC hut. We skied incredible powder all 7 days and ruminated in modest accommodations. We were trashed yesterday coming out of the hut. We rolled directly into the luxurious Sutton Place at the base of the gondola at Revelstoke Mountain Resort (thanks for hosting us:) and immediately splashed into the hot tub. We were exhausted and spent the night lying on the ccouchwatching the college football playoffs in style."
"Today, we hopped into the gondola early with very little energy. 19 backcountry days in a row left me barely hanging on. We hit some of the legendary trtreeuns off the Stoke chair then reveled in the continent's longest inbounds runs - 5,620 vertical feet. These top-to-bottom runs are insanely fun, and I can't help but smile as I hit the wide-open, empty groomers down past the Stoke chair."
Seven days at a backcountry BC hut produced incredible powder and modest accommodations. After seven days, the group moved into the luxurious Sutton Place at Revelstoke Mountain Resort and soaked in a hot tub. Exhaustion led to a low-energy morning and an early gondola ride to Revelstoke's Stoke chair. The group skied legendary tree runs and the continent's longest inbounds runs of 5,620 vertical feet, enjoying wide-open empty groomers. After logging about 20,000 vertical feet the group called it a day early to conserve energy. Heavy snow is forecast for the coming days.
