Peter Qayutinuak Jr. survived three days stranded in a blizzard without food or shelter after becoming separated from his group. He utilized traditional knowledge from his grandmother to maintain warmth and circulation. Medical staff were surprised he had no frostbite. A rescue operation by the Royal Canadian Air Force successfully located him using a cellular airborne sensor. After reuniting with his family, Qayutinuak participated in a volleyball tournament, leading his team to victory just days after his rescue.
