Darkfest 2025 in Stellenbosch, South Africa, brought together the world's best freeride mountain bikers to push their limits on the most massive jumps. The event featured well-known riders, including several Red Bull Rampage winners, while also fostering new talent like Finely Kirschenmann. Organizer Sam Reynolds emphasized the eventâs role in progression, particularly highlighting the advancements seen among female riders. Additionally, Darkfest relies heavily on support from sponsors and the dedicated contributions of riders, diggers, and photographers, who all play key roles in creating this unique mountain biking spectacle.
"Just when you think you've seen it all, DarkFest always takes it up a notch," Says Darkfest organizer, Sam Reynolds. "This year was no exception, seeing the progression from the women has been unreal to witness and the new invited riders keep opening up new possibilities, that's why DarkFest has become such a great platform for progression in freeride MTB."
