Tom Pidcock withdrew from the Volta a Catalunya after suffering injuries in a crash during the fifth stage. He misjudged a corner and fell down a ravine. Although he completed the stage, medical assessments revealed he could not continue due to potential bone and ligament damage to his right knee and wrist. Pidcock will undergo further evaluations and remain under observation. He expressed relief at finishing the stage and is now focused on recovery and returning to competition.
