Two Bay Area Chefs Featured In Season 22 Cast of 'Top Chef'
Briefly

Bravo's Season 22 of 'Top Chef' premieres on March 13, featuring talented Bay Area chefs Anya El-Wattar and Vincenzo Loseto amidst the backdrop of Canada. El-Wattar, previously Chef of the Year in 2022 and known for her Russian-inspired cuisine at Birch & Rye, has joined despite her restaurant's recent closure. Loseto joins as the chef de cuisine at the Michelin-starred Press after notable experiences in New York's culinary scene. Among the other contestants, Los Angeles chefs Katianna Hong and Kat Turner also bring critical acclaim, ensuring a competitive season for the audience.
This season, Russian-born San Francisco chef Anya El-Wattar is part of the cast. El-Wattar was most recently the chef at the now shuttered Birch & Rye, the well-received but short-lived Russian-inspired restaurant in Noe Valley.
Ozyilmaz made it to the final four in the competition, going out just before the final round, traveling to Aruba to cook the second-to-last episode onboard the Holland America cruise ship.
Loseto was born on Long Island in New York, and previously worked in the kitchens of Daniel Humm and James Kent at the NoMad in NYC, working his way up to sous chef.
Eater SF named El-Watter Chef of the Year in 2022, and her restaurant was a James Beard semifinalist the following year.
