Marathon Burger is set to open its second location in Venice, next to Muscle Beach, on May 31, driven by the warm reception from its Melrose shop. Founded by Samiel "Blacc Sam" Asghedom, brother of Nipsey Hussle, the Venice outlet will serve crispy smash burgers and wings, with a new double cheeseburger and breakfast options. The decision to expand was unplanned but opportunistic, aiming to maintain efficiency and a positive experience, especially with celebrity patrons frequenting the original location.
When opportunities present themselves, you gotta kind of jump on it... we had an opportunity to present itself for that location on the boardwalk.
The Venice location will serve a pared-down menu with smash burgers, hot wings, and a vegan patty to help eliminate long wait times.
