Michelin Adds Six New Bay Area Restaurants to the California Guide
Briefly

The California Michelin Guide has been updated to include 13 new restaurants prior to the ceremony on June 25. The new selections, featuring six from Northern California such as Sungho and Ethel's Fancy, and seven from Southern California including Komal and Somni, are classified as "New" and "Recommended". While these additions signify quality dining options, they do not guarantee Michelin stars or spots on the Bib Gourmand list, which will be revealed at the upcoming ceremony.
Among the local restaurants added: Korean restaurant Sungho in San Francisco; Ethel's Fancy from chef Scott Nishiyama in Palo Alto; and chef Srijith Gopinathan's latest restaurant, Eylan, in Menlo Park.
It's worth noting that these restaurants aren't quite "starred" just yet - these additions... are designated as "New" and "Recommended." That may (or may not) change with the California Michelin Guide ceremony.
