Researchers have uncovered an 'extravagant' villa in Somma Vesuviana, possibly the place where Emperor Augustus died in AD 14 - 65 years prior to the eruption.
The villa contains elaborate pillars, ancient pots, and a statue of Dionysus, managed by a project led by University of Tokyo archaeologists.
