Halo is designed to print what we describe as carrier vessels. They are essentially our direct-to-market move for on-orbit manufacturing. Rosotics CEO Christian LaRosa
Rosotics is developing large spacecraft called 'motherships' to carry smaller autonomous spacecraft that construct massive orbital stations for various purposes. LaRosa highlighted the importance of secrecy during the development process.
Globally, the number of people who knew the full scope of this equation was maybe three or four, and we had been consulting, developing, testing for quite a while to get there. LaRosa emphasized the level of secrecy maintained during the project.
Rosotics has developed a unique, highly efficient approach for in-space 3D printing using the Reaper printer, focused on induction technology. This innovation aims to tackle the challenges of transitioning 3D printing from terrestrial to space environments.
