Out of this world: Queens students have live Earth-to-space conversation with NASA astronaut - QNS
Briefly

Over 100 students from various camps in Queens participated in a live conversation with NASA astronaut Dr. Jonny Kim, currently aboard the ISS. The event, organized by Rep. Grace Meng, took place at the New York Hall of Science. Students queried Kim on life in space, including food and medical emergencies. Kim, a Korean-American astronaut, is on an eight-month mission to conduct research in different scientific areas. Rep. Meng emphasized the importance of such opportunities for students and the role of NASA in educating youth.
NASA is really interested in how our bodies react to long-duration space flight. So, we do a lot of tests, such as measuring our blood pressure or seeing what our organs are doing with ultrasound.
I was so excited to come here and be a part of this. NASA and the Hall of Science do not hesitate when it comes to finding opportunities to open the minds and hearts of our students.
