"It's a double-edged sword," said Carey Segebart, president of the Danish-Swedish Farmdog Club of America. "While recognition is great, it could also bring bad actors like puppy mills into the picture."
Segebart noted the challenges faced over the years to achieve this milestone: "There's a lot of boxes you have to check. We created breed standards and an ethics code to guide us."
