Impulse Space has secured a $34.5 million contract from the Space Force for two ultra-mobile spacecraft missions designed to enhance rapid military response in space.
The first mission, Victus Surgo, will utilize Impulse's Mira spacecraft to achieve a very high orbit, marking Helios's inaugural operation on orbit.
The second mission, Victus Salo, will involve launching another Mira spacecraft to low Earth orbit, featuring a modular payload interface to expedite integration times.
Through the TacRS program, the Space Force aims to foster rapid launch and spacecraft operations from private industry, responding swiftly to space threats.
