Elon Musk is suing the California Coastal Commission after they blocked an increase in SpaceX launches, claiming political bias and overreach from the Commission.
The lawsuit claims the Coastal Commission unlawfully overreached its authority, stating, 'rarely has a government agency made so clear that it was exceeding its authorized mandate'.
Commissioner Gretchen Newsom justified her vote against SpaceX citing 'a pattern of negligence' and concerns regarding Musk's decisions driven by 'bigoted beliefs'.
The Coastal Commission thanked the Space Force and Air Force but criticized SpaceX for not reaching out directly before filing the petition.
