Bulk high-temperature superconductivity in pressurized tetragonal La2PrNi2O7 - Nature
Briefly

The Ruddlesden-Popper bilayer nickelate, La3Ni2O7, has been shown to exhibit high-temperature superconductivity (HTSC) at pressures above 14 GPa, with certain complications still present.
Pr-doping in La2PrNi2O7 eliminates the intergrowth of competing Ruddlesden-Popper phases, leading to nearly pure bilayer nickelate structures that demonstrate superconductivity under pressure.
At approximately 11 GPa, Pr-doped La2PrNi2O7 undergoes a structural transition that supports gradual emergence of high-temperature superconductivity, achieving transition temperatures exceeding previous records.
For La2PrNi2O7, transition temperatures reached an onset of 82.5 K and zero-resistance state at 60 K, providing significant insights into nickelate superconductivity.
