Warsofsky to coach Team USA at Worlds; Which other Sharks might go?
Briefly

Ryan Warsofsky, coach of the San Jose Sharks, has been named Team USA's head coach for the upcoming IIHF World Championships. This marks his second appearance as part of the American coaching staff, following a successful run as an assistant in 2023, where the team finished fourth. Together with U.S. general manager and fellow officials, Warsofsky will finalize the coaching staff and roster ahead of the tournament in May that will take place in Denmark and Sweden. Several Sharks players may participate as well.
Warsofsky, the NHL's youngest head coach at 37, was also an assistant on the 2023 American entry, which won eight straight games in the tournament.
It was a great staff, and it was a great experience, Warsofsky said of the 2023 team. Obviously came up a little short, but it's in a unique tournament that you need to experience.
The U.S. is set to play its preliminary-round games in Herning, and a handful of Sharks players could also be flying overseas next month.
If I get the opportunity, I will definitely do everything I can to represent my country and my family.
