Shortly after joining the Sharks, Wennberg reached out to William Eklund, son of his former teammate, expressing excitement about playing together and getting to know him better.
Wennberg, known as a center in his NHL career, signed a two-year, $10 million deal with San Jose. Where he'll play under new coach Warsofsky is yet to be determined.
