Sharks' Warsofsky makes adjustment as workload increases for Celebrini, Smith
Briefly

The San Jose Sharks opted not to ice rookie forwards Macklin Celebrini and Will Smith for Wednesday's skate to manage their playing time after significant minutes in a recent game. Coach Ryan Warsofsky commented on Celebrini's emergence as the team's top-line center, highlighting his increased responsibilities and performance. Despite not labeling it 'load management,' Warsofsky acknowledged the need to conserve their energy for the demanding season ahead. The Sharks need to adapt to the loss of Mikael Granlund while continuing to develop their young talents.
I thought (Celebrini) did some good things on the penalty kill. There's some things that he needs to work on with it. Just on that last goal, he gets too caught over on the strong side of the ice.
They've played a lot of hockey. We're asking Mack to be a first-line center right now; he's penalty-killing a little bit. So, if I didn't say anything, he'd probably be out there until (2 p.m.).
