"Teenagers Will Smith and Macklin Celebrini each have multiple points in the same game for the second time this season (also Nov. 25)," Per the NHL Media site. "Only two other games in franchise history have featured multiple teenagers, each register multiple points: Nov. 18, 1997 (Patrick Marleau: 2-0-2 & Marco Sturm: 0-2-2) and April 16, 1992 (Pat Falloon: 1-1-2 & Ray Whitney: 0-2-2)."
Celebrini extended his goal streak to three games with his snipe on Friday. He now sits second in NHL history for the longest goal streak by an 18-year-old since the 2007-08 season. Celebrini became the second 18-year-old in Sharks history to post a goal streak of three-plus contests. Only Jeff Friesen has done this and scored in five straight games during the 1994-95 season.
After a slow start to the season, Smith has found his confidence with the puck on his stick and is on a three-game points streak. In those games, Smith has six points (two goals, four assists).
