San Jose Sharks prospect Sam Dickinson, considered one of the most well-rounded defenseman prospects, has been named to Hockey Canada's 2024 World Junior Summer Showcase roster. The 18-year-old London Knights d-man, drafted 11th overall in 2024 and renowned for his game-tying goal in the Memorial Cup Final, signed his entry-level contract with the Sharks after impressive OHL stats of 18 goals and 52 assists.
At the WJSS, Dickinson will have two of his Knights teammates, Denver Barkey and Oliver Bonk, join him, along with Easton Cowan. While the 11th-overall pick may not play NHL games this season, a pre-season appearance could be possible before returning to juniors.
